Happy Halloooween! for QKR Stampede

Hello, and Happy Halloween weekend!  There are lots of fun things happening in my small town this weekend in honor of the approaching holiday, and probably in your city, too.  Enjoy!

Today, at QKR Stampede Challenge Blog, we're starting an optional themed "Happy Halloween" challenge, or you can always enter an "anything goes" project.

Here's my "Happy Halloween" themed entry:

I used QKR Stampede digital stamp, Carved Pumpkin (Q-digi14209) and colored it with Copic markers.  The "Happy Halloween" sentiment is from Eureka Stamps (ES-digi3907).

The dies are from Stampendous and the candy corn digital paper is from MHKDesigns.  The card base and sequins are from Close To My Heart.

I hope you join us this week at QKR Stampede Challenge Blog for our optional "Happy Halloween" themed challenge.  I'd love to see what you make, and we have great prizes!

Tick Tock -- An MHKDesigns New Release

Aw, it's the final day of New Releases at MHKDesigns 😞.  I've so enjoyed the entire month of October releases!  To win them for yourself, start at the MHKDesigns blog, and comment on each designer's blog.

Today's featured release is "Tick Tock".  It's perfect for New Year's, belated birthday cards, masculine projects -- anything with a need for a vintage timepiece.  It's sooooo cool!

I printed 3 different time pieces from the Tick Tock digital stamp set on to MHKDesigns Very Distressing digital papers.  The sentiment, also part of the Tick Tock digital stamp set, was also printed on to Very Distressing digital paper.   It was a quick card to create, and, I think, has a masculine feel to it.

I little glimmer trim from Close To My Heart and some 1/2 pearls from my stash finished off the card.

Don't forget to start at the MHKDesigns blog to see all the awesome inspiration from the MHKDesigns team.  You'll find the Tick Tock new release, and all MHKDesigns, in the Etsy Shop.

There's still a few more days to enter the MHKDesigns challenge, if you haven't had a chance to link up yet.  Use an MHKDesigns image, and it's Anything Goes.

Have you joined in at the Imagine That! Digistamp's Creative Playground yet?  It's time for some mid-challenge inspiration with this month's free image. I hope you link up, as this is a great image!

I made this shaker card using Thanks a Bunch and colored it with Copic markers.  The papers, also from Imagine That! Digistamp, are the Tea N Roses digi papers. I used dies from Lawn Fawn and sequins from Craftin' Desert Divas to create the shaker. The ribbon is from my stash.

Imagine That! Digistamp products used on this card:

Link up any Imagine That! Digistamp image and the Thanks a Bunch set is yours!  You have until Nov. 3! See you in the Playground

Heaven Heals -- an MHKDesigns New Release

Hello crafty friends.  Today is another day of new releases at MHKDesigns.  It seems like I need far too many sympathy cards, so todays New Release, Heaven Heals, comes in very handy for me.

I used one of the pre-framed sentiments to create this card.  I wanted a design I could duplicate easily when I need a sympathy card, so I chose not to color the flowers in the frame, but it would be very pretty colored, too.  Papers on this card, also from MHKDesigns, and found in the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop, are Serene Seaside digital papers

MHKDesigns products used on this card:

To have a chance at winning this yet, start at the MHKDesigns blog and leave a comment on each designer's blog.  Good luck!

Have you joined the MHKDesigns challenge?  There's still plenty of time.  They run from the first of the month to the end of the month.  If you use an MHKDesign image, it's Anything Goes!  I hope you link up!  Check out the MHKDesigners & Friends Facebook group, too, for news, inspiration, and fun!

Floral For You -- and QKR Stampede

Friiiiday!  Hurray!  Those of you who have been following my cancer journey with me, I had a PET scan last week, and I'm still in remission!  YES!

This week at QKR Stampede challenge blog, it's an Anything Goes theme, so link away!  (limit 3 projects per week).  I love to see you creative projects!

I used the Eureka Stamps Harvest Bouquet digi to create this card:

I colored Harvest Bouquet (ES-digi38501) with Copic markers.  I used a die to cut out the "for you" sentiment.  Papers are long retired from Close To My Heart.

I hope you can join us this week at QKR Stampede Challenge blog.  I truly do enjoy seeing what you make!

The set, Punny Thanks, comes with pre-colored and black & white images.  I chose a pre-colored image to use on this card.  Papers on this card, also from Imagine That! Digistamp, are Nautical digital papers.  The rocker card is a file from the Silhouette Design Store.

Imagine That! Digistamp products used on this card:

Growing Goodness -- an MHKDesigns New Release

Hello, good friends!  I   I hope you are enjoying this month's New Releases at MHKDesigns as much as I am!  Make sure to start at the MHKDesigns blog, then comment on each designer's blog for your chance to win!

This is a card I made using the new Growing Goodness Digital Stamp set, available in the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop.

I used one of the images from the Growing Goodness digital stamp set and colored it with Faber-Castell colored pencils.  MHKDesigns images are so easy to shade!  They take very little coloring.  I LOVE this sentiment, and it is part of the Growing Goodness set.  The papers, also from MHKDesigns, are the Positively Purple Patterned digital papers.

MHKDesigns products used on this card:

Have you joined the MHKDesigns challenge?  There's still plenty of time.  They run from the first of the month to the end of the month.  If you use an MHKDesign image, it's Anything Goes!  I hope you link up!  Check out the MHKDesigners & Friends Facebook group, too, for news, inspiration, and fun!

Take Time to Smell the Pumpkins -- for QKR Stampede

It's Friday the 13th!  Yikes!  At the nursing home where I work, we're having all sorts of fun with the lucky day, and I hope you do, too!
It's also time for a new challenge at QKR Stampede Challenge Blog.  Our optional theme this week is "Pumpkins", or you can always enter an Anything Goes project.

Here's my pumpkin-themed inspiration for you:

This card uses QKR Stampede digi stamp, Pumpkin Vine (Q-digi18802) and Smell the Pumpkins (ES-digi22004).  I colored Pumpkin Vine with Copic markers, then used scalloped Lawn Fawn dies to cut it out and back it.  The backing paper is from a DCWV Halloween/Fall stack.  The Smell the Pumpkins sentiment was cut out and backed with a Spellbinders die and gold paper.  The leaf accents are also from Spellbinders Paper Arts.

I hope you can join us this week at QKR Stampede Challenge blog for our optional pumpkin themed challenge.  I'd love to see what you make!

Funky Fall Foliage -- an MHKDesigns New Release

Happy Tuesday, fellow crafters!  Today is the second day that the MHKDesigns team is featuring this month's new releases.  Today, you'll see Funky Fall Foliage.  All the New Releases can be found in the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop.

I LOVE coloring flowers.  They are my most favorite thing to color, so this release was a particular pleasure for me.  I tried to make the image into a fall-looking flower, perhaps closely related to a sunflower, but somehow, when I look at it closely, I think I caught the look of a dandelion quite well! Oh well!  It was a joy to color, however you interpret the flower image.

I colored the Funky Fall Foliage image with Faber-Castell colored pencils.  The sentiment is part of the Funky Fall Foliage set.  Papers for this card -- also from MHKDesigns, are the Sunflower Sampler digi paper pack.

MHKDesigns products used on this card:

Makes sure you start on the MHKDesigns blog, then comment on each of the designer's blogs for your chance to win this set (yes!) or even all of this New Release(!)

Have you joined the MHKDesigns challenge?  It's just getting started.  They run from the first of the month to the end of the month.  If you use an MHKDesign image, it's Anything Goes!  I hope you link up!  Check out the MHKDesigners & Friends Facebook group, too, for news, inspiration, and fun!

In Sympathy -- for QKR Stampede

It's Friday!  Yea!  I'm traveling today 3 hours to see my BFF.  She was washing the windows on the second story of her house and the extension ladder collapsed!  She now has 13 screws and a plate in her left heel, and a broken tibia in her other leg.  She's in a wheelchair for at least a month, maybe longer, so several of us are road tripping today to see what we can do to cheer her up and help out around the house.

It's Friday!  That means it's time for a new challenge at QKR Stampede Challenge Blog.  This week, our optional theme is 'Autumn Leaves'.  I found a beautiful digital stamp in the Eureka Stamps store (the sister company to QKR Stampede) that I used for this week's challenge:

This card uses 2 Eureka Stamps digis:  Tree Losing Leaves (ES-digi34502) and In Sympathy (ES-digi4505).

I used a combination of Copic markers and distress inks on the Tree Losing Leaves image, coloring it with markers first so I didn't ruin the nibs, then using distress inks.  I fussy cut it, and backed it with Fall colored papers.  I love the script on the In Sympathy digital stamp! The sequins on this card are from Craftin' Desert Divas.

I hope you can join us this week at QKR Stampede Challenge Blog for our optional "Autumn Leaves" challenge, or link up whatever you'd like.  I'd love to see what you create!

Shine Bright! An MHKDesigns New Release!

It's New Release month at MHKDesigns!  It seems like these months roll around so fast, but I get so excited for the new releases!  Today is the first of 5 days that all of the designers are participating in the New Release.  You'll find all 5 New Releases ready for you in the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop.

Today, we're featuring Celestial Elements.  If you start at the MHKDesigns blog, then visit and comment on each designer's blog, you might win this set (or all the new releases!!!)

Here's one of the elements of Celestial Elements, inked with Tim Holtz distress inks, fussy cut, and placed in a panel cut out with a die:

The sentiment, floating in a cloud, is also part of the Celestial Elements digital stamp set.  It was cut out with a die also.  The sequins on the card are from Close To My Heart.  The dies are from Honey Bee Stamps, purchased at Ellen Hutson.

MHKDesigns products used on this card:

Have you joined the MHKDesigns challenge?  It's just getting started.  They run from the first of the month to the end of the month.  If you use an MHKDesign image, it's Anything Goes!  I hope you link up!  Check out the MHKDesigners & Friends Facebook group, too, for news, inspiration, and fun!

No Worm for the Early Bird! For Path of Positivity

Happy October, crafty friends!  It's time for a new challenge at The Path of Positivity Challenge Blog. We're midway through our 3-month theme of exploring how the arts impact our lives and our crafting at the Path of Positivity.  This month, the optional theme is "Surround Yourself with Literature."

Our guest sponsor this month is Sparkle N Sprinkle. I used the very fun digital stamp, Wilson Birds to create this:

I printed the Wilson Birds digital stamp on Kraft paper, then colored the mirrored image with Faber-Castell colored pencils.  The sentiment, also part of the Wilson Birds set, is SO darn cute!

I chose this stamp set, and this particular theme because, after perusing my husband's bookshelf, I found 11(!) bird books.  He and I are what you could refer to as diehard "birders".  We even have our own life lists of birds we've seen and identified.

I hope you can join us this month for our optional "surround yourself with literature" theme.  Tell us how your project connects to the theme in your post -- maybe it's a particular book that speaks to you, a poem, or a quote.  Our challenge will go until Nov 5.

Let It Snow (Please not YET!) for the 12 Months of Christmas

It's a new month, and that means it's time for a new challenge at The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up.   This month's theme is Anything Goes, as long as it's Christmas!  Yea!

We have 2 wonderful sponsors this month:  Pattie's Creations, and Decosse's Dynamite Doodles

I used a sweet image by Pattie's Creations to make this shaped card for the challenge, and paper pieced some Christmas papers from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.

This is Polar Bear Snow Globe.  I printed it first onto Kraft paper and colored it with Faber-Castell colored pencils.  Then, I printed it again on a piece of Decosse's Dynamite Doodles paper from the 12 Days of Christmas 2015 series and fussy cut the snow globe base, attaching it to the Kraft paper.  I then printed a 3rd copy of Polar Bear Snow Globe on copy paper, fussy cut that, and used it as a template to make the snow globe shaped card.  Once it was cut out, I glued the Polar Bear Snow Globe piece to the front, and Voila! my card was almost done!  All it needed was an appropriate sentiment. I found that at Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. The "Let it Snow" sentiment, complete with snow, tied the card all together.  I printed it on a piece of Decosse's Dynamite Doodles digital paper from Holiday Hoopla textured papers collection.

I hope you join our "Anything Goes as long as it's Christmas" theme this month at The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up.  We have wonderful sponsors, great prizes, and I'd love to see what you create!

Happy Haunting! for MHKDesigns October Challenge

October 1st!  The month of witches and ghosts and all things spooky!  It's time for a new challenge at MHKDesigns, and I wanted to feature an adorable witch and some super fun papers, all from MHKDesigns.  I made a home decor project, and use the 'Anything Goes' option at MHKDesigns (as long as you use an MHKDesigns image, it's always anything goes!!), and created this for the challenge:

This adorable witch silhouette is MHKDesigns Flight By Night.  I printed it on white card stock and inked the moon with several shades of Tim Holtz Distress inks, then fussy cut her out.   I found some old embroidery hoops, and wanted to mount my project on one of them.  I printed two papers from the MHKDesigns Trick or Treat patterned paper pack, and secured them on the hoop.  After adding some baker's twine, the home decor project was ready for Halloween!

MHKDesigns products used on this project:

Below is the inspiration photo if you'd like to use it for the challenge, or if you choose NOT to use an MHKDesigns image, but why would you?  There are SO many fantastic ones in the MHKDesigns Etsy shop to choose from!

The challenge runs all month, so I hope you have a chance to join in the fun.  I'd love to see what you make, and there are wonderful prizes to win!
